Introduction of the new ITTF World Rankings system has seen some huge World Ranking increases for New Zealand players - possibly unprecedented.
Congratulation to Jiayi Zhou for reaching 75 in Under 15 girls, and to Kelsey Amor and Dean Shu for cracking the top 100 in Under 21 boys, at 97 and 86 respectively.
Great news too in the Senior Rankings, with Matt Ball at 268, Alfred de-la Pena 283, Natalie Paterson 255 and Armindeep Singh 266.
Zhiying Cheng is prominent in Under 18 girls at 113, with Sophie Low 169 and Hui Ling Vong 245. Sang Yong Park is hot on the heels of Nathan Xu in under 15 boys, being 124 against Nathan's 111. Nathan is also ranked 300 in Under 18 boys, with Jonjon Zhao on 345.
Well done to all these proud New Zealand representaive squad members! What a tremendous position we start the year in, preparing for a busy international programme.
